Billing with no signal

A bill in Karobari is a write to your own phone, not a request to a server. That is the whole design, and it means there is no offline mode to switch on and nothing to remember to do before the tower drops.

What actually happens when you bill with no bars

1. You add the items and take payment exactly as normal. Nothing on the screen changes and nothing waits for a reply.
2. The bill, the stock movement and any khata entry are written to the phone's own database and the customer leaves.
3. The three of them join a queue. Today shows how many changes are waiting.
4. When a network appears the phone sends them on its own. You do not have to be in the app, and you do not have to remember.

Seeing what is waiting

The count is on Today, on the home screen, rather than inside a settings page — because a number nobody can see is a number nobody trusts. Tap it and you can send the queue yourself with “Send now”.

If the queue is not going down

1. Check you actually have a working connection — open any website in the browser, not just the signal bars, which can show reception with no data left on the pack.
2. Open Today and tap “Send now”. That pushes the queue immediately rather than waiting for the app's own next attempt.
3. Leave the app open on Today for a few seconds. A large queue after a long outage is sent in batches, and the count drops in steps rather than all at once.
4. If the count still has not moved after all three, write to support with your shop name and roughly how many changes are waiting. Nothing is lost while it waits — the queue survives closing the app and restarting the phone.
