The code did not arrive
What to do when the sign-in code does not come, where to look for it, and why asking again straight away makes it worse.

Signing in is a phone number and a code. There is no password, which removes the most common way people are locked out of an app — and leaves exactly one, which is the code not arriving.
Look where the app says to look
The code comes by SMS or on WhatsApp, and the app tells you which one it used. That line is not decoration: someone watching an empty SMS inbox for a message that went to WhatsApp will wait forever, and every extra tap on Send spends one of a small number of tries.
Before you tap resend
- Wait a full minute. A queued message that arrives after you have asked for a second one makes the first code useless, because only the newest one works.
- Check the number you typed, digit by digit. A wrong digit sends a real code to a real stranger and shows you no error at all.
- Check WhatsApp as well as your SMS inbox, including the archived chats.
- Only then tap Send again.
If it still does not arrive
Try from a different network if you can — a phone with no data will not receive a WhatsApp message even though it can receive an SMS. If nothing works, write to support from any email with the number you are trying, and say whether the app told you it sent an SMS or a WhatsApp message. That one detail is usually the whole answer.
